These four races were created by the AFAC and its then President Jean-Luc Jardel in 2004, based on the American Breeders’ Cup model. Unique, these races stand out as they give AFAC members the opportunity to register their horses for life when they are yearlings for only 200 Euros. This means that for the rest of their career, they can be entered for nothing in these races.

The first edition of this type of race took place at Toulouse. Later they formed part of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend where they were run partly at Saint-Cloud and partly at Longchamp. In 2011 they returned to Toulouse where the 2015 edition will take place on Wednesday 28 October.

Four races :

- French Arabian Breeders’ Challenge for three-year old colts : 1 600 m

- French Arabian Breeders’ Challenge – Sh. Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup for three-year-old fillies: 1 600 m

- French Arabian Breeders’ Challenge Sprint : 1 400 m for four-year-olds and older horses

- French Arabian Breeders’ Challenge Classic : 2 200 m for four-year-olds and older horses

The four races are Group 2 PA races and each of them is worth 45 000 euros

They are the final races of the French season.
