This was the ninth race of the 14-race season open to lady riders. The winners of thirteen qualifying races will be in Abu Dhabi on the 8th November for the final.
The Moroccan lady rider Bouchra Marmoul who was partnering the seven-year-old grey Wasilew (Ontario HF x Warta) got her qualification for the final by winning this 1800 meter race from the Irish lady rider Aileen O’Sullivan and Zahim (Marwan I x Zanja), a five-year-old gelding.
Bouchra, who has only been riding for a year, is the first female jockey in Morocco. This was her first victory in what we hope will be a first in a long history of winners.
